Habitat
The Andean bird lives in the Andean Cloud rain forest in South America. The rain forest has all of the food that the bird needs to survive, because it is very big. The trees of the cloud forest.
The photo above is of a male Andean bird. The female Andean bird does not have a big beak like the male, or as bright of an orange on her head.
Diet
Andean birds feed mostly on birds and insects. They sometimes eat mice and frogs.
Behavior
When a male Andean is trying to find a female mate, he will do many crazy motions, like hopping and walking, and make many different sounds.
Female Andean birds make then nest out of saliva (spit) and old scraps from the forest.
Fun Facts
The Andean bird is the national bird of Peru. They are even kept as pets sometimes! They are not very threatened or endangered (they aren't being killed or dying quickly).

Some of the animals that the shoe-billed stork eats include frogs, fish, and baby crocodiles. On rare occasions they will also prey on snails, turtles, and other small rodents.

The shoe-billed stork is normally silent. Many ornithologists, (bird scientists), like the shoe-billed stork a lot. They even consider it one of the top five birds in Africa. They are a very cool bird!
